In the framework of the REBUILD project, TriM is providing a 3-year consultancy service to the leading organization, CISP-Comitato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo di Popoli.

The aim of the project is to contribute towards increased resilience of communities in ASAL areas of Kenya to drought and other effects of climate change, through the (i) enhancing of food and nutrition security of vulnerable households, especially for women and children, and the (ii) generation of sustainable livelihoods and protection of productive assets.

TriM is in charge of the co-design of the Climate Service Data System and of the provision of reliable and easy-to-understand information to community members for disaster risk reduction. In particular TriM will provide:

  • An analysis of climate service data system in the area of intervention
  • The design and implementation of a meteorological database
  • The installation of 6 manual weather stations
  • The provision of 2 or more trainings on weather monitoring, data collection, analysis and reporting
  • A web application to manage, visualize and integrate data collected
  • Several review and reflection sessions with key stakeholders
